Welcome to MINI CAT COUNTRY, where children are excitedly perceiving and achieving! Our caring team of highly qualified teachers and support staff work unceasingly to create a "Can Do" attitude in our students.

We are pleased to report that we are succeeding! Among other things, we have made AYP for the past 5 consecutive years; received state and county recognitions for closing the achievement gap for the past 4 consecutive years; and have been progressively moving students from Below Basic and Basic to Proficient and Advanced. We anticipate equally good news regarding our 2009 performance.

Student growth, both academic and social, occurs at Minnie Hughes as a direct result of effective planning for student progress.
